Video Game Champion is a competitive strategy board game for 2 to 5 players that takes 50-90 minutes to play. You and your friends are ’90s kids dividing your time and attention between earning money, studying, renting video games, buying game strategy magazines, begging your parents to buy you video games as presents and, ultimately, playing as many video games as you can. Do you have what it takes to rise above the competition and become the next Video Game Champion?

In Video Game Champion, players are transported to the nostalgic setting of the early 1990s, where they step into the shoes of children balancing multiple activities such as earning pocket money, studying, and immersing themselves in the captivating world of 16-BIT gaming.

From flipping through video game magazines to renting games, asking your parents for gifts and spending hours pushing buttons, the game captures the essence of that era.

Mechanically, players navigate through the game by strategically selecting chips from an Action Grid, each activating a corresponding action effect from the column or line. The challenge lies in managing resources like money, button chips and “I owe you” chips, adding depth to decision-making as players strive to maximize their points through completing games with Poker-style chip combinations, exploring new releases, and accomplishing various mission objectives unique to each playthrough.

In this elegant and intuitive city-building board game, designed by the award-winning Emerson Matsuuchi, you will create the city of your dreams.

Over three rounds of play, you will compete to be the greatest architect in your city by purchasing the deeds to empty lots and constructing your new buildings on them. More complex buildings require more lots, but will bring you even greater prestige. The player with the most prestige is appointed Grand Architect!

Featuring the same “take out of the box” and go setup as the original Foundations of Rome. Each player gets a player board with all of their buildings tiles.

As the great leaders of the past, build your own ancient city in World Wonders

The greatest leaders from the ancient world are ready to pay all the gold they had to built the most glorious city of all times. It’s your duty choose wisely what constructions and wonderful monuments fits better in your map. This will increase your resource production and attract many people, what will make your population grow. But, look carefully at your opponent’s plans: perhaps they are wanting the same builds you are.

In the end, the one who has more victory rings will be declared the winner and the builder of the biggest city of the Antiquity!

Each player will use their Gold each round to build tiles that will increase their city’s economy. A city that produces more food and generates commerce brings more population. Make your city grow!

There are 5 types of buildings, and each of them provides a type of resource that will make your city evolve from a simple settlement to the largest city in the world. If your buildings are completely enclosed from all sides, you’ve created a very well-planned city block. This will earn you a lot of points. To place new buildings to your city, you will also need a lot of roads. Adjacency with roads will allow you to place buildings further away from the map. This will reach natural resources, which in addition to other benefits, bring victory points.

As important as the buildings, are its monuments and wonders tokens. This will bring you a lot of victory points, but will consume all your Gold. Be wise in choosing when and where to place it. Each monument requires buildings, roads, natural resources or even water in its adjacency to be placed. It won’t be easy to fit them into your city, but the benefits will be great.

If your Gold runs out, your turn is also over. Once all players have spent their Gold, a new round will begin and new buildings and roads will be available to everyone.

In the end, as soon as a player reaches the maximum population limit, the leader of the best city in the ancient world will be the winner of World Wonders!

In Kraftwagen: Age of Engineering, you will push the development of new engines and bodies with which to launch the best possible range of vehicles on the market, and you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the power of your engines in the first Grand Prix that were held in American territory. The North American automobile industry developed later than in Europe, but innovations in the mass production of vehicles and the immense internal market quickly made the American automobile industry the largest and most powerful in the world.

In Kraftwagen: Age of Engineering, you will push the development of new engines and car bodies with which to launch the best possible range of vehicles on the market. You will also demonstrate the power of your engines in the early Grand Prix races, originally known as the American Grand Prize.

Let your engines roar! New and better car models will attract buyers from all over. Gain the most reputation to become the most renowned car builder of the early 1900s.

You will research and develop innovative technologies to improve the production of bigger and better Car Bodies and the construction of more powerful and efficient Engines to bring the best and most eye-catching vehicles to the Market. Selling the cars you manufacture can earn you large sums of money if you meet the needs of potential buyers. Your company’s presence at the early Grand Prix events will earn you fame; but you will need to invest time and resources to improve your brand’s race car. Balance these competing priorities and manage your time as efficiently as possible to rise to the top and win the game!

At the end of the game, the player with the most Reputation Points wins.

Points earned during the Grand Prix race, through car sales, and from achievements are counted as Reputation Points, although, for the sake of theme, some parts of the rules refer to terms like Price and Money.
