Comic conventions have grown in popularity in recent years. As a result, there are more events held than ever before. While this is amazing for the community, it can make it difficult to decide which events to attend each year. However, if you will be anywhere near Columbus Ohio between December 6th and 8th, GalaxyCon is the spot to be.
This event aims to be more than just a comic convention. Knowing that guests are one of the biggest draws to these events, GalaxyCon Columbus has booked over 200 fantastic individuals for fans to interact with. These entertainers include actors, voice actors, wrestlers, comic artists, cosplay artists, and literary figures.
GalaxyCon Columbus has one of the best guestlists in the business and pop culture fans are sure to find a creator who meets their needs. This event will feature people such as Kiefer Sutherland, Weird Al Yankovic, George Takei, Gina Carano, Danny Trejo, Logic, and Kristian Nairn. A full guest list for the event can be found here.

If you are one of the many people who attend these conventions to see the cosplay artists, GalaxyCon Columbus has you covered. The event will feature a cosplay lounge which will allow artists to hang out and mingle with one another. This area also allows fans to take photos with their favorite artists without disrupting traffic for the general event.
As always, GalaxyCon Columbus will feature a spectacular Cosplay Competition. However, there is a lot more than glory on the line for those who wish to compete. Not only will there be trophies, badges, and bragging rights up for grabs, but the winners are competing for up to $4000 in cash. It safe to say that this will be a cosplay competition to remember.
If you are looking for something a little more active during your time at GalaxyCon Columbus, why not spend some time at the game tables? Here, gamers can spend time playing D&D or Magic the Gathering. If you are new to the TTRPG realm, take part in one of the various learn to play tables and discover the lost art of tabletop games.
If you want something with more visual appeal, GalaxyCon Columbus will also feature a video game room. Here, players can take part in indie games, retro games, or enjoy a run of Drunk Mario Kart. However, make sure not to use up all of your energy during the day, GalaxyCon Columbus has plenty of nightlife activities to draw your attention.
First, we have an after dark cosplay competition, a cosplay cabaret, karaoke, and a dance party. For those looking to take a walk on the wilder side of GalaxyCon Columbus, check out the after dark market and the 18+ panels. Here, fans are able to freely discuss the naughtier side of pop culture fandom.
Tickets for GalaxyCon Columbus can be found here. Hardcore fans can score a 3 day VIP pass for $355.00, while a three day deluxe package will run $170.00. A standard 3 day pass will cost $160.00. For those that can’t attend the entire weekend, you can purchase a two day or single day pass for the events. All the little nerds under the age of 9 years old will be granted free admittance.
The GalaxyCon Columbus will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Doors open Friday, December 6th at 2 pm and will continue until Sunday, December 8th at 8 pm. Parking may be limited, so make sure to get to this event early.
