Flashback to the ’90s in the Black Ops 6 Early Access Beta!

The Beta Begins Friday, August 30th

Get your squad together...it’s time to lock 'n load again!

Over the years, Call of Duty has become synonymous with the term gamer. For many players out there, the Call of Duty franchise was their intro to inline gaming and continues to provide a positive outlet and an awesome way to spend time with friends. Even nongamers or familiar with the franchise, or at the very least the reputation of its chatrooms.

As we approach the release date of the highly anticipated sequel, Black Ops 6, gamers are chomping at the bit for information about this new iteration of the iconic franchise. Luckily, that wait is almost over as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will host an Early Access from August 30 at 10 Am until September 4 at 10 Am. Directly following this event will be an Open Beta. This event will take place between September 6 at 10 Am and September 9 at 10 Am.

Do not pray for easy lives, my friends. Pray to be stronger men. - John F. Kennedy, Black Ops

So, what's the difference between an Open Beta and an Early Access event? Simply put, one is for those who have pre-ordered, and the other is open to the public. Game Pass users and those who have pre-ordered can access the game on August 30th, while the general public can start their reign of terror on September 4.

Preloading has already begun for the events. This way players will have no delay when the game events officially open. Now, it is important to note that although you can begin player load outs, the progression made in the events may not transfer over to the full launch of the game. However, players will be rewarded with various cosmetic items for taking part in the event.

It is unclear at this time which gameplay modes will be available during these events. At the moment, players are welcome to enjoy the new Omnimovement for the first time, which promises to change the meta of the franchise as a whole. That being said, it is clear that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is highly anticipated and will likely roll out a few hidden treats during this event.

Either way, more Call of Duty is always a good thing, right? While the franchise has had some ups and downs over the years, it seems to be constantly striving for new heights. Not only have they cleared up some of the less than savory aspects of the game, i.e. the chatrooms, but the gameplay continues to improve with each new addition.

Say what you will about Call of Duty, but the franchise knows its strength and provides a top of the line shooter experience for its players. Instead of trying to reinvent themselves with each new game, they refine what made them famous in the first place. Namely, being the best online multiplayer shooter game in the industry.

So, with all that being said if you are a fan of the franchise or just shooter games in general, make sure to jump into the Open Beta and give the game a try. What better way to spend your fall than mindlessly slaughtering your friends and foes? Or, at the very least, trying your hardest to keep your K/D as close to one as possible.
